The Primary geo.to® Team:

S. Lee Hancock

Lee Hancock is a successful serial entrepreneur in digital technology with particular emphasis on local information delivered over mobile devices. He was the founder of go2, which launched the world's first mobile, local directory, search and information service in 1999. Lee grew go2 to over 100 employees and a $7 million in revenues in less than 3 years while serving over a billion page views of mobile local search results and leading go2 to become a top 20 mobile internet brand. Lee successfully sold go2's mobile media business to a Boston-based company backed by General Catalyst. Importantly, Lee and geo.to® retained go2's extensive, validated, and very early (1996 initial filing date) patent portfolio and related IP covering for mobile, local search, real-time local information clearinghouses, and a host of LBS and m-commerce services. Lee developed this technology with go2 and the help and assistance of VeriSign, Amdocs and SAIC, and geo.to products and services are covered by numerous aspects of these patents.

While at go2 Lee was responsible for driving marquee customer, technology, and/or strategic relationships with companies like Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Burger King, Holiday Inn, Purina, Acura, Cendant, Mastercard, Yahoo, Microsoft and all of the major wireless carriers in the U.S. including Sprint, AT&T Wireless, Verizon and T-Mobile.

Prior to founding go2, Lee was a co-founder of inBuilding Systems Corp., a provider of a unique 'lobby portal' and high speed internet access for tenants of multi-tenant office buildings, which was successfully sold in 2000. Prior to founding inBuilding Systems Corp. and go2, Lee practiced corporate and venture finance law with two major law firms, including a major Southern California firm, Allen Matkins, where he served as the chair of the corporate law department. Lee is also a CPA, and in 2000 received the Ernst and Young's prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year awards in Orange County, California.
